Eloy Jimenez Trying To Be More Of A Complete Player
4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez wants to be regarded as more of a two-way player. Jimenez has things covered at the plate, as he's coming off hitting .296 with a .891 OPS and 14 homers in the shortened 2020 season. Still, the 24-year-old has certainly had his fair share of mistakes in the outfield- including getting stuck in the protective netting- which could see him get some playing time as the designated hitter this season, something he isn't too crazy about. Still, the main concern of fantasy investors is his work at the plate. Manager Tony La Russa believes Jimenez is further along than most hitters on the team when it comes to being ready for Opening day, which is a good sign for his chances of reaching his goals in 2021- winning MVP and hitting 40 homers.
