Will Zalatoris' play has been underwhelming to say the least in 2025. The good news is that he's only missed one cut in nine starts, but the bad news is that he hasn't finished inside the top 20 since The American Express back in January. The main culprit for his struggles has been his very poor putting, where he ranks 145th in strokes gained putting. Iron play will be the key to success this week at Philadelphia Cricket Club, which has been one of Zalatoris' strong suits. He currently ranks 13th in strokes gained on approach (0.631 strokes gained per round). If he can keep his ball-striking dialed in, he has a chance to compete. It may not be a bad idea to take him at $7,300 on DraftKings, but use caution.

Will Zalatoris has put together a solid season, recording five top-30 finishes in his first nine starts. However, he's struggled recently, failing to finish better than T47 in his last three events, including a missed cut at The Masters. He'll look to rebound at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where he's competed four times but made the cut only once (in 2021). In his two appearances at TPC Craig Ranch, Zalatoris has lost a combined 8.558 strokes putting, a trend that has continued into 2025. He ranks 142nd in strokes gained putting this season, losing 0.327 strokes per round with his flatstick. Fortunately, his ball-striking remains elite — he's 15th on tour in strokes gained on approach, gaining 0.631 strokes per round. Zalatoris' performance hinges largely on his putter, and at $8,800 on DraftKings, fantasy managers will be banking on him finding his form on the greens.

After opening 2025 with seven straight finishes of T47 or better, Will Zalatoris couldn't find his rhythm at The Masters, posting a 74-78 and missing the cut. He'll look to bounce back at the RBC Heritage, where he's made two career starts with results of T44 and T42. To succeed at Harbour Town, players need to be accurate off the tee and sharp on approach, two areas where Zalatoris has performed well. He ranks 20th in strokes gained on approach (0.594 per round) and 59th in driving accuracy. He is also in the 75th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a key range considering 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. At $7,000 on DraftKings, Zalatoris profiles as a steady mid-tier option, though his upside may be limited.

In addition to not missing a cut in any event this year and three top-25s, Will Zalatoris has excelled in his career at Augusta National. He has three top-10 finishes in his four starts and withdrew in 2023 due to injury. Players must excel from tee-to-green, which Zalatoris has excelled at this season. He averages 0.836 strokes gained from tee-to-green per round, which ranks 24th on tour. He's also above average in strokes gained around the green with 0.073 per round, which ranks 80th. Zalatoris is finally heading into this week's Masters fully healthy and looks to have a great chance to compete. He is a strong, high-upside DFS play this week.
