Dansby Swanson Collects Three-Run Double Against Red Sox
4 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson continued his strong start to the spring in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox. Swanson went 1-for-2 with a strikeout, a double, and three RBI. The 27-year-old stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom half of the first and cleared them with a double to centerfield. Swanson has three hits- two of them for extra bases- and four RBI in four games this spring, as he's looked quite comfortable at the dish. He has a well-rounded profile, as he ranked in the 70th percentile or better in expected batting average, expected slugging percentage, barrel rate, and sprint speed, where he placed in the 90th percentile. Swanson is currently being picked outside the top-100, which seems like good value for a guy who could score and drive in 75-plus runs while producing double-digit homers and steals- though he should be slightly downgraded in points leagues given his propensity for strikeouts.
