Josiah Gray Has Uneven Performance
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Josiah Gray didn't have the strongest start to the spring on Thursday. He was unable to record an out during his second inning of work. Facing mostly minor league hitters, the young pitcher struck out two batters in his first inning but was then chased from the game after opening the second with a home run followed by a walk. Gray is likely to open the year at the club's alternate training site and has significant depth to push through for big-league innings in 2021, including the likes of Julio Urias, Tony Gonsolin, and, Dustin May. Gray has the ceiling of a No. 3/4 starter for Los Angeles.
