4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver William Byron surprised many racers by forging into contention and then leading 102 of 267 laps on Sunday. Byron pulled away from the field and held off a charging Tyler Reddick by three seconds. Considering he started 31st, the driver was able to garner a top-five finish in Stage 1. After that, Byron was victorious in Stage 2 before sealing the deal at the end. This was Byron's second top-ten finish at Homestead but his first victory.
