Rory McIlroy Looks To Forget Genesis Mishap
4 years agoIt was an awful finish for Rory McIlroy during last week's Genesis Invitational -- one that saw him lose his made-cut streak of 25 consecutive events. It is important to remember that a player is never as good or bad as they appeared in their last start, and it is a notable trend to mention that his failure in California was his first result outside of the top 21 over his previous nine tournaments. McIlroy does have some trends pointing in his favor after a missed weekend, and it shouldn't hurt matters that he will get a crack at his preferred putting surface of Bermuda. We are not opposed to being aggressive on a golfer that fly under the radar, but there is some risk involved.
