J.A. Happ Tests Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starter J.A. Happ has tested positive for COVID-19, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Happ is not experiencing any symptoms of the virus at the moment. The veteran hurler signed a one-year, $8 million deal this offseason after pitching to a 3.47 ERA in 49.1 innings for the Yankees in the shortened 2020 season. It's unclear when he'll return to the club's training site in Fort Myers, though he'll certainly have a delayed start to the spring. The news shouldn't change the plans of drafters much, as Happ has an ADP close to 300, making him more of a late-round roll of the dice as he enters his age-38 season in 2021.
