Unable to capture the gold after his long-awaited title shot, Gilbert Burns (19-4) was taken out by defending champion and former teammate Kamaru Usman in the third round by TKO stoppage on Saturday. Statistically, Burns was able to land 45 significant strikes (55 total strikes) but was unable to land any of his three takedown tries. His first loss since July of 2018, Burns will look to make another push toward the title. With one of the most dangerous jiu-jitsu games in all of mixed martial arts and a powerful striking game to complement it, it would not be a surprise to see Burns right back at the top of the stack.--Matt Bricker

Burns relied on his takedown attempts and grappling while Maddalena scored with punches from range. It looked like Della Maddalena did enough to win the first round, keeping Burns at range, while Burns won the second round, taking Della Maddalena down and relying on his superior grappling. The fight reached its climax when Della Maddalena, escaping another takedown attempt, landed a massive knee that dropped Burns. Della Maddalena followed up with a barrage of elbows to finish Burns. In 13:43 of action, Burns landed seven takedowns and 27 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

Burns seeking to prove he is still at the top of his game after losing this past spring to Belal Muhammad. Among the top contenders of his division, Burns has an impressive fight record and has already headlined one pay-per-view event alongside the former welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman at UFC 258. DraftKings sees Burns as the underdog with a salary of $7,600. Throughout his UFC career of 21 bouts, Burns averages 74.3 fantasy points per contest.
