Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski (lower body) has been placed on the injured reserve. The talented blueliner got hurt in Thursday's 4-3 win over Dallas and is now expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action. Werenski had one assist against Dallas and boasts four points for the season in 12 appearances. He also carries an ugly minus-eight rating, so it's not been a good start to the season by him, but the 23-year-old will still be a huge miss for the Jackets, who now have Dean Kukan on the top pairing alongside Seth Jones.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
