Robert Thomas Scores First of Season, Leaves with Injury
4 years agoSt. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas scored early in Saturday's loss to the Coyotes, notching his first goal of the season after being held scoreless for 11 games. Thomas made plenty of noise in his 3:01 minutes of ice time, logging three shots and the only goal the Blues would score in the contest before leaving the game with an upper-body injury. Thomas does have six points in 12 games now and scored at a 0.64 points per game pace last season, pointing to some value for the 21-year old in dynasty formats. For now, any fantasy value Thomas has for this season is up in the air until we learn more about his injury.

Robert Thomas Questionable Sunday
2 months agoSt. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas (illness) is questionable for Sunday's contest against the Utah Hockey Club. He left Saturday's practice early because he wasn't feeling well and may not be in game shape against Utah. Despite missing 12 games with a broken ankle, Thomas is ranked third on the team with 36 points. He has amassed 12 goals and 24 assists in 40 appearances. Defenseman Colton Parayko (illness) is also questionable for Sunday and might miss a second consecutive game. Jake Neighbours could reclaim a top-six spot if Thomas is unable to play on Sunday, while Philip Broberg should stay on the first defensive pairing as Parayko's replacement.

Robert Thomas Nets Two Goals On Thursday
3 months agoSt. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas found the back of the net twice on Thursday evening during their victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Thomas opened the scoring on an unassisted snap shot goal in the first period. Later in the second, Thomas would strike again, this time with Pavel Buchnevich tallying the primary assist. Thomas would tally six shots on goal in this game with two penalty minutes and a +1 rating. This game extended Thomas' goal streak to two games, and he has tallied nine points over his previous eight contests. Overall, the 25-year-old has tallied 33 points (11 goals, 22 helpers) across 31 games this season. Thomas should continue to produce point-per-game production playing on the top unit alongside Pavel Buchnevich and Brandon Saad.

Robert Thomas Strikes Twice On Friday Evening
3 months agoSt. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas scored two goals during their victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday evening. Thomas opened the scoring on an unassisted wrist shot goal in the opening minute which beat netminder Juuse Saros. Thomas would not get back on the scoresheet until later in the final frame where he scored a power-play goal to increase their lead. Thomas has now posted multi-point performances in back-to-back outings. Since the start of December (13 games) Thomas has only been held off the scoresheet on one occasion and has posted six multi-point outings over this span.
