Steven Stamkos Strikes For Two Points On Monday
4 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos deposited a power-play goal and added an assist as his team picked up a 5-2 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators on Monday night. With the pair of points, the 30-year-old registered his third multi-point effort of the young season and now checks in with nine points (four goals, five assists), four power-play points and 22 shots on goal through seven tilts. Having played just one game in the Bolts run to capturing the Stanley Cup last season, Stamkos is clearly out to prove his immense impact on a very deep and talented Tampa Bay roster. He remains one of the game's most dangerous scorers and should be considered a lineup-lock every night he takes the ice. He'll face the struggling Detroit Red Wings up next on Wednesday.
