The rookie netminder is coming off a 24-save win versus the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday and hasn't lost a single one of his seven starts in regulation in 2020-2021. Taking over the net with goaltender Ilya Samsonov out due to Covid-19 protocol, Vanecek has filled in admirably with a five wins, a 2.78 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.
