It has been a season of ups and downs for Allen, who is sporting an 11-13-1 record. He has allowed 2.60 goals while registering a .911 save percentage with four shutouts. Against the Blue Jackets, Allen will attempt to win a third consecutive outing for the first time this season. He has beaten Philadelphia and Edmonton in back-to-back appearances, giving up three total goals. On Monday, Allen may not need to do much to secure another victory, as Columbus has been shut out in two consecutive games and three times in its last five contests.

Jake Allen Shuts The Door On Wednesday
2 months agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Jake Allen stopped all 24 shots he faced in his shutout victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. The Devils had a slight advantage in the shot total, but Allen was able to step up when called on. The Devils would eventually break the scoreless tie in the second frame when they scored four goals. Allen has controlled the crease over the past week as No.1 goaltender Jacob Markstrom (knee) will miss at least 4-to-6 weeks with an injury. Over his previous three starts, Allen has posted a 2-1 record with a .926% SV and a 2.00 GAA. Overall, Allen holds a .906% SV and a 2.55 GAA. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Allen to see most of the starts going forward, with Isaac Poulter operating as the No.2 option.

He's battling an upper-body injury, which isn't expected to keep Allen off the ice for long. Supported by a sharp offense, Allen has registered a 5-4-1 record as New Jersey's backup goalie, allowing 2.74 goals with a .903 save percentage and two shutouts. Isaac Poulter has been called up from the minors to back up Jacob Markstrom on Tuesday. Markstrom has dropped only three of his last 13 decisions.

Jake Allen Posts Second Shutout Of The Season
5 months agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Jake Allen stopped 31 shots to pick up his second shutout of the season in Monday's 3-0 victory against Edmonton. Allen became the third goalie in franchise history to record multiple shutouts within his first five games of a season. He joined Ottawa's Anton Forsberg as the second netminder in the league to keep multiple clean sheets in 2024-25. Jacob Markstrom also boasts one shutout, giving New Jersey a league-high three shutouts in total. The team has been impressive at the back and both goalies deserve plaudits. Allen improved to 3-1-1 on Monday and has recorded a 2.60 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage.
