Ottawa Senators defenseman Christian Jaros was traded to San Jose on Wednesday for forward Jack Kopacka and a seventh-round draft pick. The Sharks completed two trades to get the deal done, as they brought in Kopacka for defenseman Trevor Carrick from Anaheim. Carrick had three games for the team last season and has featured seven times overall in the NHL. By making a move for Jaros, San Jose picks up a blueliner who had one full year in the league a couple of years ago and who has international experience with the Slovakian national team. Jaros, who didn't feature for Ottawa this season, has 13 points to his name in 76 career appearances with 70 shots and 33 penalty minutes. General manager Doug Wilson complimented his physicality in a statement, so it looks like the Sharks wanted to bring some size in. Jaros won't be a factor in fantasy hockey.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
