Marina Rodriguez (16-3-2) is set to rematch Michelle Waterson-Gomez at UFC Vegas 79. Rodriguez and Waterson-Gomez headlined a Fight Night card in May of 2021, in a fight that was on short notice and up a weight class. Rodriguez ended up winning by decision. Since then, Rodriguez has gone 2-2 but has lost two straight fights. Although she's on a losing skid, DraftKings still has Rodriguez as a sizeable favorite, as the Brazilian is at a salary of $9,300 which is the second-highest on the card. In her UFC career, Rodriguez is 6-3-2 and is averaging 56.98 fantasy points per fight. With both Rodriguez and Waterson-Gomez on losing streaks, this is a chance for one of them to get back on track.

With hopes of a fifth straight victory and a future title shot, Marina Rodriguez needed a victory in Saturday's main event but fell short and suffered a third-round TKO loss to Amanda Lemos. In 10:54 of action, Rodriguez tallied only 19 significant strikes while absorbing 29. Rodriguez has faced tough competition in the past and has proven she can earn wins. Hopefully this is a minor setback for Rodriguez and we will see her return to the top in the future.

Two dangerous strawweights are set to face off in Saturday's main event when Marina Rodriguez (16-1-2) takes to the Octagon to battle Amanda Lemos. Looking for her fifth straight win, Rodriguez has earned her last three victories by decision. Rodriguez typically takes her opponents deep into the fight, earning nine of her 16 career wins by decision. DraftKings sees Rodriguez as the favorite with a salary of $8,800. Throughout her UFC career, Rodriguez averages 64.9 fantasy points per contest. Facing much tougher competition, it's easy to see why Rodriguez gets the nod as the favorite.

Now a winner of three straight in the Octagon, Marina Rodriguez put on a dominant showing to take a unanimous decision from Mackenzie Dern in Saturday's five-round main event. Rodriguez scored 49-46 on all three scorecards. Statistically, Rodriguez did exactly what was needed, tallying 144 significant strikes (148 total strikes) compared to Dern's 49. She was also able to stay off of the mat, only being taken down once out of Dern's eight attempts. With the win, Rodriguez finds herself climbing near the very top of the division with a chance for a title shot soon. She typically wins by decision, but if she gets more five-round bouts, that will add up to quite the number of significant strikes.
