New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is set to play for the second consecutive day on Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers. He produced his fifth shutout of the season in Saturday's 4-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Shesterkin also defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in overtime on Thursday night, so he is in the midst of a very busy stretch and will make his third appearance in four days. Shesterkin has not won three consecutive starts since January when he had his season-best four-game winning streak. The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner boasts a 23-22-4 record for the season and has given up 2.79 goals with a .907 save percentage. Following a tough stretch, the Oilers are on a 3-2-0 run and are sure to present a stern test for Shesterkin on Sunday.

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will get the starting nod on Thursday against the Minnesota Wild. Shesterkin allowed two goals on 24 shots during his last outing against the Winnipeg Jets. He will have another tough matchup against the Minnesota Wild who are also in the Western Conference playoff picture. Before his loss on Tuesday, Shesterkin held a 3-1-2 record over his last six contests with a .921 save percentage and a 2.32 GAA. During this span, he allowed one goal or less in two games but allowed three or more in the other four. Through 47 total games this season, the 29-year-old has had a disappointing season to his standard as he sits with a modest 21-22-4, a 2.87 GAA, and a .905 save percentage. He is a solid play in DFS as he still carries high upside despite a tough matchup.

New York goaltender Igor Shesterkin was the first goaltender off during Wednesday's morning skate, which suggests he will likely take the starter's crease on Wednesday evening when the Rangers face the Washington Capitals. Shesterkin has begun to find his footing after a rough stretch during January and February. Over his last four starts, Shesterkin has held a 3-1 record with a .939 save percentage and a 1.77 GAA. He posted a 21-save shutout in his last outing against the New York Islanders. However, before this strong stretch, Shesterkin carried a poor .817 save percentage with a hefty 4.57 GAA. Overall, the 29-year-old is on pace to have the worst season of his career but remains a must-start goaltender in all standard formats. In addition, given his recent play, he is worth considering in DFS matchups, despite facing a potent Washington offense.

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin stopped all 21 shots he saw against the New York Islanders on Monday evening. The Rangers had the slight advantage in the shot total but Shesterkin was able to step up when called on. Since allowing five goals on February 22, Shesterkin has gone 3-1 over his last four contests. During this stretch, he has held a strong .939 save percentage with a 1.77 GAA. He has only allowed more than two goals twice. However, prior to this recent surge, Shesterkin posted a hefty 3.45 GAA and a .865 save percentage over his last eight contests. Despite the uneven play at times, Shesterkin remains a must-start goaltender in all formats. He will look to stay hot on Wednesday evening when the Rangers host the Washington Capitals.
