Mounir Lazzez Unable To Capitalize Wednesday
4 years agoMounir Lazzez (10-2) got his first real taste of big-time UFC welterweight action on Wednesday, facing Brazilian veteran Warlley Alves. Bursting onto the scene at UFC Fight Night in July of last year, Lazzez won very impressively in his debut, showing off his amazing striking skills. In this matchup, he was just overpowered by Alves and had his midsection pounded with kicks. Through a half round of action, Lazzez was only able to land two significant strikes. Though Lazzez is older than Alves, there is much more tread on the tires, so keep an eye on Lazzez for future rostering. His salary will probably drop next time out and he won't disappoint twice in a row.
