Jingliang Li Welcomes Back Opponent With First-Round KO
4 years agoJingliang Li (18-6) earned his biggest knockout to date on Saturday night, knocking out one of the division's top stars in Santiago Ponzinibbio in the first round. With more than a two-year layoff, Ponzinibbio looked rusty against Li in the striking department. Li kept the pressure on and dropped Ponzinibbio, leading to the referee stopping the contest. The Leech has gotten back to his winning ways and hopes to continue to put China on the MMA map. Li has now won four of his last five bouts in the UFC and can hopefully piece together a nice streak to get him a solid top-15 ranking in 2021.
