Evgeny Kuznetsov Logs Two Helpers On Sunday
4 years agoWashington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov registered a pair of assists in his team's 4-3 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday night. The 28-year-old's helpers, both primary assists, were his first two points of the young 2020-2021 campaign. It hasn't exactly been a scorching start for Kuznetsov in his first three contests, adding just five shots and two hits to his point total thus far. With his production having slipped last season (52 points in 63 games), the skilled Russian center's draft stock fell considerably during the preseason (65.9 average draft position in Yahoo! leagues). Kuznetsov should still be considered a valuable scorer in most fantasy formats but he'll need to start producing on a more consistent basis to be an auto-start each time he takes the ice. He'll be back at it again versus the Pens on Tuesday.
