Bulls forward Patrick Williams is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 5 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: Don't look now, but Patrick Williams is a 34+ minute player these days. The rookie has started each and every Bulls game this season at either forward spot (12 games, that is), but he had played more than 28 minutes just once in the Bulls season-opener against Atlanta. In Chicago's last three games, though, Williams has stayed on the court 34, 35, and 36 minutes. Uh, oh.

Go Premium, Win More! With such a massive playing time, the numbers Williams would need to put up in order to be a truly efficient per-minute fantasy player would be bonkers, and that's why he ranks below-average in that department. Even then, Williams is averaging a sound 10.6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 1.1 APG for the season, definitely not bad for a rookie. Even more fascinating are his 1.7 stocks per game and his 49/48/87 shooting splits on 8.0 FGA and 2.3 3PA per game.
Those numbers are not going to win any fantasy GM his league, but they are quite good among rookies. Only three freshmen (Williams, Wiseman, and LaMelo) are putting up 10+ points and 3+ rebounds per game and just two (Williams and LaMelo) are adding at least one assist per game to those two marks.
