Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant finished with 34 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists in 36 minutes during Tuesday's victory over the Nuggets. In two games since returning from an absence due to COVID-19 protocols, Durant has scored at least 34 points in both. Overall, the superstar is averaging a stellar 29.3 points per game. He will face a stiffer test tomorrow against a Knicks defense that is rather stingy.--Rishi Patel - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Rockets might be interested in trading for Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant this offseason. Charania stated both sides have a "level of mutual interest," although things could change depending on how far the Rockets advance during the playoffs. He has one year left on his current deal, so it's unknown how much Houston would be willing to give up. Still, acquiring Durant, who averaged 26.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.1 blocks this season, could make the Rockets an even bigger threat to clubs around the National Basketball Association. As far as his fantasy outlook is concerned, he should remain a valuable fantasy asset in 2025-26, no matter where he ends up. However, Durant will need to stay healthy, with the veteran logging only 60 games during the 2024-25 campaign.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (ankle) is expected to miss at least one week after suffering a sprained left ankle in Sunday's blowout loss to the Houston Rockets. The latest update means Durant won't suit up during the Suns' upcoming three-game road trip, beginning on Tuesday in Milwaukee. Phoenix is currently on the outside looking in for a Play-In spot. But if the Suns get eliminated before Durant is cleared to return, there's a chance he won't be back on the floor this season. With rumors regarding KD's departure this offseason, he may have already played his final game with the organization. With that said, Royce O'Neale should slide into the starting lineup, with Devin Booker expected to see a surge in production while Durant is on the shelf.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Suns and forward Kevin Durant could work together on a trade during the offseason. Charania added that this may not happen if the Suns make a "significant run" this postseason, assuming Phoenix makes it that far. If not, league sources believe both sides may work collectively to make a deal happen. The 36-year-old has played well this season, averaging 26.7 points, 5.9 boards, 1.3 blocks, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. But Phoenix has struggled over the last few seasons, so the team may look to rebuild around Devin Booker. There are teams that will have the cap space available to acquire the multi-time All-Star. But other clubs may not be interested for reasons outside of his abilities on the court.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (ankle) is set to return to action in Tuesday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is not listed on the injury report after missing three games with a left ankle sprain. Ryan Dunn or Royce O'Neale will have to give up a starting spot for Durant, who produced a full line in his first meeting with the Grizzlies this season. The veteran star tallied a team-high 29 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks in a 117-112 loss on New Year's Eve.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
