Cleveland Scratches Collin Sexton Before Thursday’s Game
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point/shooting guard Collin Sexton (ankle) had been announced as a starter for Thursday's contest against Memphis and had gone through a pre-game workout, but he was scratched at the last possible minute, with Damyean Dotson starting at the point guard spot in his place. Without Sexton and Darius Garland (shoulder) active, Cleveland is playing Thursday without a true point guard and a backcourt ravaged by injuries with Dante Exum (calf) and Matthew Dellavedova (concussion) also out. The indecision and fluctuating injury updates are sure to be a source of frustration for many fantasy managers, but the Cavs appear to be looking at the long-term when it comes to Sexton, who is 14th in the league in scoring at 25.1 points per game. His next chance to return to the lineup comes Saturday versus the Bucks.
