Chan Gailey Resigns As Offensive Coordinator
4 years agoThe Miami Dolphins announced on Wednesday that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey has resigned. This may turn out to be good news for young quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, as the Dolphins can now embark on a search for an offensive coordinator with a scheme that best suits the young signal-caller's skills and strengths. Miami will have a new offensive coordinator for the fifth straight season, and third under head coach Brian Flores. The 69-year-old Gailey came out of a four-year retirement to join the Dolphins in 2020, but Miami's offense struggled to move the ball late in the year after they made the switch to Tagovailoa. The 2020 season was Gailey's 21st as an NFL coach and was his second tenure with Miami.
