Giants Defense Keeping Patrick Graham Around
4 years agoNew York Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham signed a contract extension with the team on Tuesday. He will be the team's coordinator in 2021 and will not pursue head-coaching jobs this offseason. The New York Jets were one team that was planning on interviewing Graham for their vacant head-coaching gig. The Giants Defense surprised this season despite the team not making the playoffs and finishing with a 6-10 record, as they finished 12th in the league in overall fantasy points. They also tied for 12th in the NFL in sacks (40) and tied for fourth in fumble recoveries (11). Linebacker Blake Martinez and cornerback James Bradberry turned out to be big offseason acquisitions as free agents, while the emergence of safety Jabrill Peppers has helped solidify a once suspect secondary.
