Rajon Rondo In Line For Extended Absence
4 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Rajon Rondo (knee) is set to miss at least the team's next three contests due to persistent right knee issues that the team hopes he can correct with rest. Brought aboard during the off-season to serve as Trae Young's backup, Rondo has been limited to just two games thus far in 2020-21, and now joins Kris Dunn (ankle) on the sidelines, thinning out the Hawks' PG depth. Without Rondo available, Brandon Goodwin figures to see time as Young's backup, but won't draw relevant levels of fantasy intrigue. Until Rondo can reclaim a significant role and prove the ability to stay healthy, he can remain on the wire as well. His next chance at taking the floor comes next Wednesday against the Suns.
