Spencer Dinwiddie Suffers Partial ACL Tear
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie (knee) suffered a partially torn ACL in his right knee during Sunday's loss to the Hornets. The Nets initially called it a right knee strain, though the Athletic's Shams Charania confirms the tests revealed it to be a partial ACL tear. Fortunately, there was no other structural damage to the knee, and Dinwiddie is expected to make a full recovery for next year. It's a tough break for those who drafted Dinwiddie, as he was looking to reprise last year's performance as a rising star alongside Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Teammates Caris Levert, Landry Shamet, and Bruce Brown will likely see more playing time in Dinwiddie's absence. Look for LeVert or Brown to crack the starting lineup.
