Julio Jones Expected To Be Game-Time Decision
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris said that wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) is expected to once again be a game-time decision in Week 16 against the Chiefs. However, Morris noted that Jones "is a little bit closer" than he has been to playing after missing the last two games. The 31-year-old wants to play again this season, but the Falcons will want to be comfortable throwing the veteran receiver out there over the final two regular season games. Jones received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his hamstring last weekend, so there's a chance he'll play against KC. The All-Pro wideout is usually a must-start when he's active, but he'd be a much more risky fantasy asset against an underrated Chiefs Defense if he returns. There's also the chance that Jones would see limited snaps if he's active. Calvin Ridley is a must-start regardless, while Russell Gage would have WR3/flex appeal in deeper leagues if Jones misses his third straight game.
