David Johnson Hauls In 11 Receptions In Loss
4 years agoHouston Texans running back David Johnson carried the ball eight times for 27 rushing yards and caught all 11 targets for 106 receiving yards in a 27-20 loss to the Colts. Johnson couldn't find much room to run in this one, though he looked like his prime self as a receiver out of the backfield, as his receiving marks were all season-highs. The veteran back benefited from the absence of Duke Johnson, though it's fair to wonder if David Johnson earned himself more of a role as a pass-catcher for the final two games of the season. Johnson will be a strong RB2 option against the Bengals' soft defense in Week 16.
