Todd Gurley II Stymied By New Orleans
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II carried the ball eight times for 16 rushing yards and caught one pass for four yards in a 21-16 loss to the Saints. Gurley was banged up with a knee injury heading into the contest and was clearly held back, as the coaching staff opted for a running back by committee. Gurley still tied for the second-most carries on the team, though he went nowhere against the Saints' elite run defense. With another week to get healthy, Gurley should resume his usual lead role against the Chargers in Week 14. He should return to the RB2 ranks for that game.
