ANALYSIS: The Kings seemed to be on the right path toward a postseason appearance last season... until they weren't any more getting a losing record inside Orlando's bubble. And to my eyes, the Kings went back to their Kangz ways more than anything this offseason given the moves and decisions they've made. Staying put in Sacto is Nemanja Bjelica, who finished 2020 tied-first for the most games played among Kings while logging 2,011 minutes of playing time.
Bjelica wasn't the go-to guy for Sacramento, that's for sure. Even starting 67 of his 72 games, Bjelica had a low usage rate of just 17% but even then he was an above-average fantasy player in FP/min. While only averaging 27.0 FPPG, Bjelica finished as the 60th-best fantasy player in total fantasy points thanks to his playing time over the year and his durability.
If you're looking for a shooting beast, Bjeli is your man. The PF attempted a limited 9.1 fga per game but 4.4 of those shots were triples. He paired those averaged with 3.6 fta per game, and his shooting splits finished at a .481/.419/.821 average line. Just 11 players shot at least 4 three-pointers per game while hitting them at a 41+ percent clip, and only five of those (including Bjelica) shot 48+ percent from the floor. Bjelica also brings a low points average (11.5) but he's deadly when he goes for shots, and he also carries nice rebounding (6.4 rpg) and passing (2.8) upside even on low usage and a diminished role.
