Nelson Agholor (WR, LV) - Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: In what was one of the worst games of Derek Carr's career (1.6 FP, 22-of-34 for 215 yards), Nelson Agholor still found his way to a 10+ PPR score last Sunday. Agholor keeps beating all odds and racking up good fantasy performances against expectation, currently ranking WR39 in total PPR points through W12. That is not mindblowing, but digging deeper the picture of Agholor is one of an über-efficient receiver.

Agholor has played fewer than 70% of the Raiders snaps on offense and has been targeted just 44 times. Among wide receivers with no more than 45 targets, Agholor leads the league in touchdowns (6) and receiving yards (497), is third in receptions (29), and ranks fifth in Y/R (16.8). And again, the most incredible thing is that while all of this efficiency looked like a potential fluke, Agholor has turned it into a weekly set of events.

Playing under Carr isn't great, but it isn't the worst thing ever. I've been preaching the Word of Carr all year long, and if you can still find him in your WW and are QB-needy, you better be trying to get him. Agholor profiles as a WR3/4 ROS, carries a floor closer to 10 PPR points rather than zero, and comes with 20+ PPR points upside if everything goes his way.

Las Vegas might have it tough in W14 and W15, but their next matchup against the Jets should be a monster-hit spot for Agholor as NY ranks 27th against fantasy QBs. If you can stash Agholor until Championship Sunday in W16, that would mark another hit-game for him as the Raiders face Miami (17th) to wrap the fantasy football season up.
