Latavius Murray Leads Backfield In Scrimmage Yards
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Latavius Murray received a team-high 14 touches and turned them into 85 scrimmage yards in a victory over Atlanta. Murray saw a slight edge in touches to Alvin Kamara and actually proved to be the more effective back, though the latter did score a touchdown. It was a bit of a weird game because Murray was utilized in the passing game more than Kamara, though it could be chalked up to the first game with Taysom Hill as the starter. It might be harder for Murray to put up good numbers moving forward as he's a bit touchdown-dependent- Hill's ability to run may constantly vulture any of Murray's touchdowns.
