Matthew Stafford Does Not Practice Thursday
4 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) did not participate in practice on Thursday and his status for Week 11 continues to be unclear. Stafford is dealing with torn ligaments in his right thumb but just because the veteran isn't practicing doesn't mean he won't suit up against the Panthers. Stafford will play a Carolina defense that had been stingy against opposing passers but have been burned for 719 passing yards and seven touchdowns the last two weeks. With star receiver Kenny Golladay (hip) returning to practice, Stafford could post a solid fantasy line in Week 11 if he can suit up against a Panthers Defense allowing 321.75 passing yards to quarterbacks over their last four games. This situation will have to monitored up until game-time.
