Chris Thompson Going On Injured Reserve
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said that running back Chris Thompson (back) will be put on Injured Reserve. It means that Thompson will have to miss at least the next three games after suffering a back injury in the Week 10 loss to the Packers. Rookie James Robinson remains the featured back in this offense, but there will now be opportunity for either Devine Ozigbo or Dare Ogunbowale to handle third-down pass-catching duties with Thompson sidelined. Through eight games this year, Thompson only had seven carries for 20 yards and 20 receptions for 146 yards and one touchdown. He was merely an RB3/4 in deep PPR leagues. Take a wait-and-see approach in those same leagues with Ozigbo and Ogunbowale for the time being.
