Detroit Lions running back Adrian Peterson carried the ball four times for 21 yards and added a nine-yard reception in the Lions 30-27 win over Washington in Week 10. The veteran has been deployed as the starter in the first month of the season but has been supplanted by the emergence of rookie running back D'Andre Swift. Swift's ascendence seemed like only a matter of time but that time appears to have arrived. It can be justified to continue rostering Peterson in deeper formats as a handcuff to Swift, but the veteran running back will have little to no fantasy value heading into Week 11.--Joey C - RotoBaller

Free-agent running back Adrian Peterson was arrested on Sunday morning at the Los Angeles airport in connection with what airport officials called a domestic-violence incident. He was given a $50,000 bail and was released Sunday afternoon on bond. Officials said police responded after a flight bound for Houston had to return to the gate because of "a verbal and physical altercation" between Peterson and his wife Ashley. The 36-year-old is scheduled for a court date on June 16. Peterson was charged with felony child abuse in 2014 and eventually pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of misdemeanor reckless assault. Although he finished last season on Injured Reserve with the Seattle Seahawks, Peterson said he plans on playing in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Seahawks running back Adrian Peterson (back) would like to keep playing and doesn't want his career to end the way it did this year with his injury. Peterson finished the year on the Seahawks practice squad Injured Reserve due to a lower back injury. The 36-year-old will be back on the open market this offseason and will be looking to latch on elsewhere if he can prove he's fully healthy. In four games with the Seahawks and Titans, Peterson carried the ball 38 times for 98 yards (2.6 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, adding four catches for eight yards. While it's certainly possible that AD can work himself into shape to play again in 2022, it's clear that he doesn't have much left in the tank at this point in his career. If he joins another club, Peterson will mainly be providing veteran depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Seattle Seahawks placed running back Adrian Peterson (back) on the practice squad Injured Reserve on Wednesday. Peterson managed to play in just one game for the Seahawks back in Week 13, rushing the rock 11 times for 16 yards and one touchdown. The 36-year-old future Hall of Fame really showed his age this year in four games with the Titans and Seahawks, averaging an anemic 2.6 yards per carry on 38 rushing attempts. It's been an amazing career in the NFL for Peterson, but the end is probably close. Rashaad Penny has become the clear lead back for the Seahawks in the last month, and he'll have a mouthwatering matchup in Week 17 against the Detroit Lions.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that running back Adrian Peterson (back) was "running around" at Wednesday's walkthrough practice and has "a chance" to play in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams after missing last week's game against the Houston Texans with low-back pain. However, Rashaad Penny took over the backfield in the win over Houston with over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The Seahawks will continue to mix and match with Penny, Alex Collins and Travis Homer (if healthy), but the lead-back role is now Penny's to lose after his Week 14 performance. It's unclear where AP would fit into Seattle's crowded backfield if he's healthy enough to play this weekend, but fantasy managers should stay away.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
