Michael Pittman Jr. (WR, IND) - Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

Colts wide receiver (WR) Michael Pittman Jr. is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ROSTERED: 9% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Although Week 2 was very encouraging for Michael Pittman Jr. and the fantasy GMs rostering him, the rookie didn't really have a great game until Week 9 when he was put in a prime position in Indy's offense. Back in Week 2 Pittman played a season-high 67 snaps (91% share), but could only reach 7.7 PPR points (6-4-37-0 was the line). Starting in W9, though, and thanks to multiple injuries, Pittman has gotten hold of a much heavier role and has seen 7+ targets in the past couple of games.

It certainly took Pittman the game against Baltimore two weeks ago to start getting hot. He finished with 9.6 PPR points but had his best game to date in receptions (4), targets (7), and yards (56). That was until Indianapolis went on to play Tennessee this past Thursday. In his Week 10 game, Pitt finished with 7 receptions on 8 targets, broke the 100-yard mark with 101, and added 21 yards in one carry. If you were waiting for the rook to show you his true upside, there you had it.

The 19.2 PPR points by Pittman are the highest fantasy score by any and every Colts' WR in a single game this season. Yes, you read that right. Only Marcus Johnson in W6 was able to rack up more yards (108), and no other receiver in the team has got more than 71 (Parris Campbell) so far this year.

While Pittman will have it hard to hit 19+ points weekly, he's definitely in a great position going forward. QB Philip Rivers isn't going to help a lot, but he's a veteran and will keep handing a reasonable amount of points to his receivers. On top of that, Jack Doyle, Parris Campbell, and Ashton Dulin keep missing games so Pitt will hold onto a prominent role at least in the short-term.

Indy has a tough matchup in W11 hosting Green Bay (7th-best defense preventing WR-points) but has a cupcake of a schedule after that going against the 31st, 26th, 17th, 26th, and 21st-ranked defenses in stopping fantasy WRs.
