Devonta Freeman Going On Injured Reserve
4 years agoThe New York Giants are placing running back Devonta Freeman (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Friday, according to a source. Freeman will have a chance to return after three weeks. The 28-year-old former Falcon will miss his third straight game in Week 10 against the Eagles and more as he deals with a nagging foot injury. There's a good chance that Freeman won't be able to help fantasy managers again this season, so he's droppable in shallower formats. In his place, Wayne Gallman should continue to serve as the club's primary ball-carrier, with veteran Alfred Morris and Dion Lewis chipping in as well. On a bad team in a bad matchup this Sunday, though, Gallman should be considered a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex.
