Troymaine Pope Can Offer Sneaky Value In Week 10
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Troymaine Pope is scheduled to return in Week 10 from a concussion that held him out in Week 9. Pope came out of nowhere to receive 29% of the backfield work in Week 8 and he made the most of it by rushing 10 times for 67 yards and catching five balls for 28 yards. Pope will go up against a Dolphins Defense that is allowing just a hair under 100 yards to opposing runners and around five receptions for 44 yards to pass-catching running backs. Pope figures to get most of his work in the pass game and that should benefit his value. Justin Jackson (knee) is also questionable with a knee injury, but Kalen Ballage performed well in Week 9 and rookie Joshua Kelley still figures to be involved. Even with a messy backfield situation, Pope has PPR value in Week 10 and would get a bump if Jackson is unavailable. Pope should be treated as a low-end flex option with sneaky value in Week 10.
