NFL DFS Value Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel - Week 10 DFS Cash Games

Drew Lock Looking To Secure Seattle's Starting QB

Brian Entrekin analyzes optimal DFS cash game value plays for Week 10 of the NFL season. These players are worth considering on FanDuel and DraftKings daily fantasy sports cash games.

We have made it to Week 10 of the NFL season, and for now, all 11 games on the main slate are still on track to play this week. There may be some interesting weather to monitor in Cleveland and Green Bay; other than that, there should be scoring aplenty. There are five game totals of 50 or higher, and with some of the recent injury news, there is some nice value opening up that will be hard to avoid.

When looking at the Week 10 slate from a cash game perspective, you have to lock Mike Davis into your lineups and eat all that chalk. Some other nice value pieces are opening up with some of the injury news, so keep your eyes and ears on the lookout for more news leading up to game day. If we go position by position, there are a few strategies to look at. The quarterback position revolves around paying up for Kyler Murray or Josh Allen, and if you do not pay for one of those two, then take the value in the article. With the available value this week, paying up for at least one big running back and wide receiver, if not more, is the way to go for your cash game lineups. Lastly, the tight end position does not have a lot of great value, so you will likely want to take Noah Fant or another higher-priced option if possible.

This article will take a look at some of the value plays for each week of the NFL. However, when you look at value plays for GPP, you are swinging for the fences somewhat. Here I will be focusing on cash games and the necessity for slightly more safety as you are just looking to finish in the top half or so of the competition. Therefore, we are looking for cheaper players who should see a decent workload, pass attempts, targets, or carriers. Let's take a look at the cash value plays for Week 10 of the 2020 NFL season.

Week 10 Quarterback Cash Game Value Plays

Carson Wentz, PHI at NYG | DK: $5,900, FD: $7,500

Sure Wentz has thrown 12 interceptions, and there have been many games that have looked quite ugly, but when it comes to fantasy production Wentz has been outstanding of late. He has thrown at least two touchdowns in four straight games and even rushed in a couple of scores over that stretch as well. He has scored around 20 fantasy points or more in five of his last six starts. He brings a strong floor into Sunday's divisional matchup versus the Giants, a Giants Defense that ranks 22 in the NFL versus quarterbacks over the last four games. They allow over 320 passing yards, nearly two touchdowns, and over 20 fantasy points per game over the last four. Lastly, the Eagles are getting healthy as it appears Miles Sanders and Alshon Jeffrey back this week, which gives Wentz more weapons.

Drew Lock, DEN at LV | DK: $5,500, FD: $7,100

The Drew Lock fantasy bandwagon is slowly filling it up, so jump on board before there is no more room left. Coming off a monster Week 9 versus the Falcons, Lock gets another favorable matchup versus the Raiders. The Raiders defense ranks 26 on the season and 29 over the last four weeks versus quarterbacks. Over the last four games, they allow two passing touchdowns per game and over 25 fantasy points per game. Lock has scored three touchdowns in each of his last two games, appears to have his receiving core back and healthy, and hopefully does not wait till the fourth quarter this week to give us all the fantasy goodness. Is Lock risky at times? Definitely, but overall play of late and a great matchup versus the Raiders makes his price a very nice cash value this week.

Week 10 Running Back Cash Game Value Plays

Antonio Gibson, WAS at DET | DK: $5,600, FD: $6,100

There was concern that Gibson may sit this week with an injury, but he has been practicing in full since Thursday and should be good to go against the 32 ranked defense versus running backs. On the season, they are allowing over 35 points to the running back position, and over the last four games, they are approaching the 40 point range. The Lions Defense allows over 185 yards from scrimmage and nearly 1.5 touchdowns per game to running backs. Gibson is usually good for 15+ touches a game between carries and receptions, leading to a strong floor in a great matchup. If, for some reason, Gibson can't go, then look at J.D. McKissic, who has been receiving six or more targets in four of his last five games, even with Gibson involved.

Mike Davis, CAR vs TB | DK: $4,000 FD: $5,400

This play is pretty easy, and I don't want to hear about how chalky Davis will be this week. Let's not forget what Davis was priced like before Christian McCaffrey returned from the IR. Now we get Davis at the minimum with CMC out this week. We get a potential CMC workload at the bare minimum. If Davis gets his usual 15+ touches, he becomes cash gold. Regardless of cash games, you can't afford to fade him due to his massive ownership. Lock Davis into your lineups this week, don't overthink it, and move on.

Week 10 Wide Receiver Cash Game Value Plays

Brandin Cooks, HOU at CLE | DK: $5,600, FD: $6,300

Bill O'Brien is kicked out of town, and the Texans offense finally utilizes Cooks to his full ability. Over his last four games, he has been targeted at least nine times in each game, finding the end zone three times and scoring double-digit fantasy points in each game. The Browns allow over 180 receiving yards to WR, 1.5 touchdowns per game, and over 40 fantasy points per game on the season. The weather may be ugly in Cleveland on Sunday, making the short pass more important, which may really play into Cooks's favor as well.

Tim Patrick, DEN at LV | DK: $4,900, FD: $5,500

Patrick has taken full advantage of every down playing time, and Drew Lock has become a fan of one of his new targets. Over his last four games, he has seven or more targets in each game, and he has double-digit fantasy production in four of his last five games. He will be going up against a Raiders defense that ranks 21 versus WR over the last four games allowing over 40 fantasy points per game. Patrick has been dealing with an injury over the last few weeks but keeps suiting up and getting it done. This week's low price and consistent volume become a major consideration for cash game value.

Travis Fulgham, PHI at NYG | DK: $6,400, FD: $6,800

If paying up at WR, you should usually lock in Keenan Allen and Terry McLaurin. That has not changed this week, but Fulgham has entered the conversation. He has been Wentz's go-to receiving option of late. He has been targeted at least seven times in the last four weeks and has double-digit targets in three of his last four. He has put up double-digit fantasy points in all five weeks he has played this season. The Giants defense rank 23 versus WR over the last four weeks, setting up another favorable matchup for Fulgham. Keep an eye on the injury news as Jeffrey and Sanders's return could make things a little more interesting for Fulgham.

Quick Note: Jakeem Grant at $3000 on DK and $4600 on FD becomes interesting as he should take over for Preston Williams. Something else to monitor for value.

Week 10 Tight End Cash Game Value Plays

Jordan Reed, SF at NO | DK: $3,500, FD: $5,000

I am not a huge fan of the tight end value this week, but there are a few options if you do pay down. Austin Hooper could definitely be one as he is returning for injury versus the bad Texans Defense, or you can save a few more dollars and head down to Reed. Reed was activated from the IR before Week 9 and should be fully ready to go for Week 10. Reed's first run saw him receive six or more targets in both games, and now faces a Saints Defense that is 26 in versus the tight end. They are allowing over five receptions, nearly one touchdown, and double-digit fantasy points each week. They have been better over the last four games, but Sunday looks like a time to retake the advantage. The Niners are major dogs and should be passing a lot. Look for Reed to be a safety valve for Mullens and rack up the PPR points.
