4 years agoFree-agent right-hander Aaron Sanchez (shoulder) has thrown for multiple teams recently, according to his agent, Scott Boras. Boras also said that Sanchez's fastball is averaging between 2,700 and 2,800 rpm. "He'll be a starting pitcher (in 2020)," Boras said. Sanchez missed all of 2020 while recovering from right shoulder surgery. His four-seamer and sinker were sitting in the 2,200-2,300 rpm range back in 2019. Sanchez is still only 28 years old and has a 3.98 ERA in his career, but he's had a 5.29 ERA in three years since he led the American League with a 3.00 ERA in 2016. The righty has flashed plenty of upside at times, but he's coming off major surgery and will need to prove that he can stay healthy enough to return to being a starter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
