Breshad Perriman (WR, NYJ) - Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: I know you don't want to have anything to do with the New York Jets and their offense. To make matters worst, the Jets are on their bye this week, which makes adding any of the NY skill-position players even a tougher act. But bear with me for a minute here. Perriman didn't play last week but was back on the field this past Monday. Not only that but playing under reserve-QB Joe Flacco the wideout went on to complete his best game of the season.

Before missing ample playing time after Week 2, Perriman seems to be back and quite on track to become one of the few bright lights in Jets-town. His first four games went for fewer fantasy points (22.8) combined than his Week 9 performance (27.1) alone. That's nuts and probably unsustainable, but his usage was promising and in three of his other four games this season (not counting W2 as he was forced out early) Perriman was targeted at least 5 times.

Perriman finished W9 with 27.1 PPR points to the tune of 5-of-7 catches for 101 yards and two scores. That's what we want to see from Perriman, and what we know he can do (just check his late-season numbers playing in Tampa last year).

If (and only if) you have enough room to stash Perriman for a week until New York comes back to playing games in Week 11, then I'd advise doing so. The Jets suck, but other than the Chargers (10th-best defense against fantasy WRs) they have the 21st, 18nd, and 32nd best defenses in their remaining schedule leading up to Week 15. Perriman will be a good FLEX streaming option with upside for a WR2 finish in that last matchup against Atlanta.
