ANALYSIS: In his first game with the Los Angeles Chargers, running back Kalen Ballage saw a heavy workload, leading the team's backfield in their Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Ballage carried the ball 15 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two of his three targets for 15 yards.
Justin Jackson (knee) was the team's primary running back going into the game, but he suffered a knee injury early on and wasn't able to make it back into the game. Jackson could be looking at some missed games going forward, which would make Ballage a potential RB2 as soon as Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins.
Rookie Joshua Kelley is also part of the mix at running back for the Chargers, but he has continued to fall down the running back hierarchy for the team. He had nine carries for 28 yards and five catches for 31 yards this week.
Ballage should be added in all leagues in case Jackson misses time. After Week 10, the Chargers have a tasty matchup against the New York Jets in Week 11 and you'll want to start any Chargers running back who is likely to see double-digit touches in that game.
