Matthew Stafford Activated From COVID-19 List
4 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was activated from the COVID-19 list on Saturday, but he must pass one more round of tests in order to be cleared for Week 9 against the division-rival Vikings. It's looking likely that Stafford will be under center on Sunday, but fantasy managers planning on starting him need to check back Sunday morning for final confirmation. Minnesota's defense has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal-callers, giving Stafford QB1 upside despite the fact that he won't have his No. 1 receiver available in Kenny Golladay (hip). The Vikings porous D has allowed 2,078 passing yards and 17 total touchdowns, tied for third-most in the NFL. If Stafford fails his final test on Sunday morning, backup Chase Daniel would receive the start.
