Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders On Track To Play
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) practiced again on Thursday and is close to returning to the lineup for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. Emmanuel Sanders said he will definitely play in Week 9 against the Buccaneers after being activated from the COVID-19 list this week. Thomas, the overall WR1 in 2019, will have a tough matchup against Tampa, a team that held him to three catches for 17 yards in Week 1, but he was also injured in that game. If fully healthy, Thomas should easily exceed those numbers as a must-start fantasy wideout. Sanders has missed the last two games but blew up in his last game action, but that was also without Thomas on the field. The veteran pass-catcher will be a shaky WR4/flex in deeper leagues in his return.
