Free-agent right-hander Trevor Bauer rejected the Cincinnati Reds $18.9 million qualifying offer for the 2021 season on Wednesday, but he's open to discussing a return to the Reds. The 29-year-old went 5-4 with a National League-leading 1.73 ERA in 11 starts in 2020 and is a leading finalist for the NL Cy Young Award. Bauer's salary during the 2020 season was $17.5 million. If Bauer leaves Cincinnati in free agency, the Reds will receive draft-pick compensation next year. He has gone 75-64 with a 3.90 ERA in nine MLB seasons after being taken third overall by the Diamondbacks in 2011. Bauer will be a fantasy ace in 2021, mainly for his strikeout upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
