Takkarist McKinley Voices Displeasure After Not Being Traded
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons defensive end Takkarist McKinley made it known on Twitter that he wasn't happy about not being traded at Tuesday's deadline. "These @AtlantaFalcons turned down a second-round draft pick when I requested to get traded last year," McKinley wrote. "The same @AtlantaFalcons turned down a fifth- and sixth-round draft pick from multiple teams when I requested to get traded this year. I only have 17.5 career sacks." The former first-rounder is in the final year of his rookie contract. Interim head coach Raheem Morris said that "Takk will be held accountable" for his actions on social media. McKinley won't be with Atlanta next season, but he'll have to finish out the 2020 season disgruntled. He's been a first-round bust so far, and the Falcons Defense has been among the worst in the league through eight weeks in the season.
