Michael Thomas Ruled Out Against Bears
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Bears. Thomas returned to practice on Thursday, but he'll miss yet another game after tweaking his hamstring last week. The first receiver off the board in fantasy drafts in the first round in most leagues, Thomas has been a huge bust this season and hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1. Fantasy managers will be hoping to get him back in Week 9 against the Buccaneers. With Emmanuel Sanders out again due to COVID-19, Tre'Quan Smith and rookie Marquez Callaway will be quarterback Drew Brees' top two aerial weapons, along with tight end Jared Cook. Smith caught four passes for 54 yards last week, while Callaway had eight grabs for 75 yards. They'll be in play as WR4/flex options against a tough Bears secondary.
