Jeff Wilson Jr. Scores Three Touchdowns Before Injury
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle) carried the offense in the team's Week 7 win over the New England Patriots. He rushed the ball 17 times for 112 yards and three touchdowns. Unfortunately, while scoring his third touchdown, he suffered an ankle injury that appears to be somewhat significant, potentially a high ankle sprain. It's an unfortunate development for Wilson after such a strong performance. Jerick McKinnon was presumed to be the team's primary back in Week 7, but he rushed just three times for negative one yards. With Wilson likely to miss next week, the 49ers will probably be going with a mix of McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty when they face the Seattle Seahawks.
