Denzel Mims Expected To Make Debut In Week 7
Denzel Mims (hamstring) was activated off Injured Reserve on Saturday and is expected to make his rookie debut on Sunday against the Bills. It comes at a good time for the Jets, as top wideout Jamison Crowder (groin) is looking doubtful for the contest, likely granting Mims a large role right out of the gate. The 23-year-old had two 1000-yard seasons at Baylor and excelled at making contested catches. Mims should get a good opportunity against Buffalo, especially with Sam Darnold (shoulder) back in the lineup. However, it's best to see how he does before rolling him out there in lineups, especially given the amount of time he's been out.

Miles Boykin, Denzel Mims Get Workouts With Seahawks
Miles Boykin and Denzel Mims worked out for the Seattle Seahawks, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The Ravens drafted Boykin in the third round of the 2019 draft and he also spent time with the Steelers. The Jets drafted Mims as a second-rounder in 2020 and he has since spent time with the Lions, Jaguars, and Steelers. With the trio of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle is pretty set at the top of its wide receiver depth chart but either Boykin or Mims could add to the wide receiver room if given a chance with the Seahawks.

Denzel Mims Signs With Jaguars
Denzel Mims, who was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, quickly found a home and signed an undisclosed deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, according to sources. Mims spent time on the Steelers' practice squad last year but never played in a regular-season game. The 26-year-old former second-round selection (59th overall) by the Jets in 2020 out of Baylor was a bust in his three years in New York, catching 42 of 92 targets for 676 yards and no touchdowns in 30 games (15 starts). He was traded to the Detroit Lions at the start of the 2023 campaign but also didn't get into any regular-season games with the team. Even with Calvin Ridley gone in Jacksonville, Mims is going to be fighting an uphill battle to make the Jags' 53-man roster out of training camp this summer.
