Deebo Samuel A Risky WR3/Flex Option In Week 6
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel had a disappointing stat-line in Week 5, catching just two passes for 19 yards. However, there were some very promising signs behind those numbers. He had eight targets in the game, which were tied for most on the team along with George Kittle. He also saw 57 snaps, more than any 49ers receiver other than Brandon Aiyuk, who played 62 snaps. Samuel made his 2020 debut in Week 4 and played just 25 snaps, earning only three targets. Clearly, the team is making it a priority to work him back into a featured role. This week, Samuel has a tough matchup against a Los Angeles Rams team that is allowing just 197.8 passing yards per game, second-fewest in the league. Samuel should see around eight targets this week and is a potential WR3 or flex starter, but he might struggle in the game, making him a bit risky to trust.
